Restoration of Façade and Appurtenances

Existing eighteen story mixed use brick building in the vicinity of Herald Square with Unsafe status as established in FISP report. Performed a detailed finding of complete envelope and prepared construction documents. Exotic metal over bay-windows and blend of stucco & brick with an accent of stonework was thoroughly studied during the restoration design development process. Constructability review along with phasing of work was practiced as part of contract administration during the construction phase since site was located in a busy business district with various site constraints. Work involved ACM containing roofing replacement on areas affected by parapet restoration.  A roofing system compatible to existing type was introduced as work was only at partial area of roof.
