A project in design phase and will be in filing phase soon:  New 3-story school building next to existing school building to facilitate the need of expanding students. Project also involves extensive excavation and Architectural-Structural intervention to house general activity areas of school in cellar such as a 5,000 SF large Gymnatorium and a full cafeteria.  Expediting challenge include creation of a school facility complying with NYS Board of Education standards, client’s desire of having an aesthetically rich building and all other things while dealing with NYC Zoning and site conditions constraints. Project also involved a challenge of design of a new 10,023 SF of roofing system in line with multilevel roof elevations, RTF units, and other misc. roof accessories while all complying with NYC FD obstruction free codes.
